The decoration is simple and classic, exuding Japanese spirits. All rooms start on the 26th floor, making you feel like floating on the sky. Located near the Ploenchit Intersection in the heart of the central business district, the Okura Prestige gives you the convenience of travelling and shopping. You can easily reach BTS Skytrain’s Ploenchit station or department stores. The hotel houses Elements, Inspired by Ceil Bleu (one MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2023). Despite the CBD location, the hotel is quieter than expected. Convenient for both daytime shopping and nighttime sessions. In the mood to experience good starred-quality Thai food? There’s Nahm (one MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2023) on the ground floor displaying chefs’ creativity and attention to detail. Menus are available in sets or à la carte. If you can’t choose, our inspectors recommend the Heritage set menu. It boasts a stream of delicious dishes from savoury canapés to flavourful mains and a luscious dessert. Mandarin Oriental Bangkok
Style: Contemporary Classic
Atmosphere: Lively

Some say that Bangkok's Mandarin Oriental is the most overrated hotel in the world. The rest of the world, however, simply says it's one of the best. It is, after all, the most famous of the splendid colonial hotels where celebrated writers such as Joseph Conrad, Graham Greene, and W Somerset Maugham spent their nights. The posh set of yesteryear — Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, and Noël Coward — came here to regain inspiration. Certainly, the original Mandarin Oriental building gives you a real flavour of those old days from its ceiling fans, carved balconies thick with climbing jasmine, old fashioned shuttered windows, intricately decorated four-poster beds, to textured walls and permeating sweet scent of tropical flowers. Not to mention the eye-catching view of Chao Phraya River, a watery thoroughfare bustling with barges and motorboats. You can also watch this stunning river view from Le Normandie by Alain Roux (two MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2023). The restaurant has offered sophisticated French cuisine for Bangkok foodies. With Chef Alain Roux now overseeing operations, Le Normandie becomes even more unique. His techniques are refined, flavours sublime, and presentation perfect. Our Inspectors cannot stop raving about the pan-fried Canadian Lobster Medallion and ginger-flavoured Vegetables Julienne with white port sauce.

Lebua At State Tower
Style: Modern Design
Atmosphere: Lively

Its grand tower and lines of arch balconies are so attractive you just want to walk in. No doubt that lebua At State Tower is one of Silom’s outstanding hotels. The rooms are tidy and modern, with hardwood floors. From balconies, enjoy gorgeous views of Bangkok’s night light and the Chao Phraya River, the River of Kings. The amenities are as useful as they are indulgent: flat-screen televisions, Eames office chairs, and lavish bath products. Lebua houses not one, but two, two MICHELIN-Starred restaurants. Mezzaluna is perched on the 65th floor, offering 7-course contemporary cuisine. European delights are prepared with Japanese precision by a very experienced Japanese chef. Our Inspectors praise the balanced flavours derived from sophisticated techniques. Not to forget about the wine list that is solid and covers price ranges. Another restaurant is Chef’s Table. Run by a Frenchman with decades of experience, serving classic French dishes using contemporary methods with a global outlook. His flavours are balanced and well-judged with a breath-taking view from the 61st floor.

U Sathorn Bangkok
Style: Contemporary Classic
Atmosphere: Quiet

An oasis of calm amidst the busy Sathorn area. The landscaped pool in the middle of the resort is inviting and soothing. Most of the rooms here have either a balcony or terrace overlooking this feature. As you enter J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain (One MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2023), your world becomes a little topsy-turvy, with a grand piano suspended from the ceiling and upside-down chandeliers. Two chefs trained in French culinary art make sure everything is refined and up to a high standard. Our inspectors recommend the J'AIME Journey set menu, inspired by the renowned Jean-Michel Lorain. Chef Lorain visits occasionally, but you can be confident his protégés will deliver the perfect dinner. The menu here features many local ingredients, including a selection of Thai cheeses.
