2. Streets with glittering illumination

Brilliant illumination in Tokyo makes the countdown to the New Year all the more exciting. Marunouchi Nakadori Street is a must visit. Walk through the gold colours lit by the trees on both sides of the street and you'll forget you're even in Japan.
Roppongi is another spot you can't miss. The Midtown Garden, located in Tokyo Midtown, is called the walkway of light and is warmly enveloped in 320,000 orange-colored lights. Ice skating is a quintessential winter activity. Central Tokyo has places where you can try ice skating, which are only open in winter. Rooftop Star Skating Rink in Ginza is located on the roof of GINZA SIX. TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN ICE ®SKATING PARK2024 is held in Oshiage, is a skating rink on ice. It’s in an attractive location where you can view Skytree nearby.
