There are few chefs in New York who enjoy the high-low quite like Chef Nozomu Abe. The man behind Two MICHELIN Star Sushi Noz and One MICHELIN Star Noz 17 (in addition to the impossibly chic to-go Noz Market), can often be spotted outside of Manhattan on the Queens waterfront in Long Island City sipping on coffee or taking a stroll with his family.

However, the Hokkaido native also has a soft spot for steaks from Peter Luger, Japanese at Two MICHELIN Star odo, and hamburgers from JG Melon. Below, get the scoop from Abe on his favorite low-key museum, his guilty pleasure, and where you'll catch him on his day off.

Coffee: Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters in Long Island City

Breakfast and/or lunch: Shio Ramen or Katsu Don at Vert Frais
