A Portuguese dinner in the grand old villa on Rama 4 sounds perfect for a family gathering. The restaurant introduces a festive a la carte menu with inspirations from the European countryside. Basque-style baked spider crab “txangurro” and Sicilian Mazara del Vallo red prawns served with Japanese hen clams tartar, for example.

Celebratory Japanese kaiseki dinner and Teppanyaki menus at Yamazato with excellent service by Kimono-clad staff might be another interesting choice for some. The New Year’s Eve kaiseki dinner will be packed with highlights like grilled Spanish mackerel with mixed egg yolk, simmered rice with oyster, and sarashina soba with kakiage tempura of sakura shrimp.
