Palais de Chine

The unique East-meets-West ambience of the hotel marries the low-key luxury of old France — think crystal chandeliers and majestic fireplaces — with elegant Chinese elements like garden courtyards and lanterns. Artworks displayed in every corner, such as a tapestry of Caesar crowning a young Cleopatra, or the preface to the Lantingji Xu collection by calligrapher Wang Xizhi, allow travelers to wander freely between historical eras of the East and West. Particularly meaningful is Lady the Fine Steed, an antique horse sculpture that greets guests at the hotel’s first floor lobby, symbolizing the progression of human travel.

Long time three-MICHELIN-star-awarded Cantonese restaurant Le Palais on the 17th floor offers tempting dishes such as roasted young duck, Cantonese-style crispy roast duck, white gourd stuffed with shrimp and crab meat, as well as fried tofu milk. Restaurant manager Jennifer Wan was awarded the MICHELIN Service Award in 2021.

MICHELIN-listed Artbrosia is also located in the Palais de Chine, a fine dining concept opened in collaboration with celebrated chef Massimiliano Musso of one-MICHELIN-starred Ca'Vittoria in Italy, serving innovative interpretations of their Piedmontese classics.

Regent Taipei

Adjacent to the Zhongshan business district in Nanjing, the elegant Regent Taipei draws tourists with its world-class galleria, home to stores offering everything from specialty ingredients to designer fashion, as well as a variety of dining options. The vibrant, dynamic space is a hive of activity, offering something for everybody.

One-star restaurant Impromptu by Paul Lee is located on the first basement floor of the hotel. Designed around an open kitchen, dining at the counter allows guests to get up close and personal with the chefs preparing their food. The menu is an amalgamation of chef Paul Lee’s childhood growing up in the United States, his culinary training in classic French cuisine, as well as his experience returning to Taiwan. As the name of the restaurant suggests, there is a spontaneity to the cuisine that energizes the menu.

MICHELIN-listed Silks House on the third floor is helmed by Hong Kong head chef Max Wo of Lei Garden fame and dim sum chef Dicky Ng. Chef Wo’s mantra of “never getting tired of eating” translates into seemingly simple classic Cantonese dishes executed with meticulous care, with layered flavors that bring out the best in each ingredient. Must-orders include the Xishi soup rice, signature barbecued pork, as well as dim sum such as chef Wu’s exquisitely delicate and translucent rice rolls and shredded radish pancakes.

Another MICHELIN-recommended restaurant at the Regent Taipei is Robin's Teppanyaki, so named after long-serving maître d’ and sommelier Robin Liu. The elegant restaurant offers a wide selection of prime ingredients, from seafood to premium steaks, and an excellent wine list to pair. Recommended dishes include the signature ribeye beef roll and the abalone steamed with rock salt.
