今天，在伦敦South Bank区的BFI IMAX电影院，公布了《米其林指南英国和爱尔兰2019》。典礼由前赛车手Amanda Stretton主持，会中公布的最新指南中，有三家餐馆新获得二星荣耀，也有21家餐馆首度列名一星。"主厨以及他们的餐馆就是城市或国家的美食大使——观众席的主厨们，你们就是最好的例子。"米其林美食及旅游活动总监Pascal Couasnon对着现场180名主厨说。"这有助于建立地方的全球声誉，并捍卫其名声的真实性。"

今年最受瞩目的是Core by Clare Smyth，它在今年的指南中获颁二星。这家餐馆是Smyth去年离开Gordon Ramsay餐馆的行政主厨职位后，第一个自己的餐馆。主厨James Kanppett在Bloomsbury的Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs以及主厨Mark Birchall在Aughton的Moor Hall也首度获得二星。
三家英格兰的酒吧首度入榜一星，包括Newbury外的Blackbird，在Lancashire郡、Fence的The White Swan，以及邻近Canterbury，位于英格兰最小城镇Fordwich的Fordwich Arms。除此之外，二星餐馆 L’Enclume主厨Simon Rogan，也以同样位于Cartmel的Rogan & Co，以及在伦敦的餐馆Roganic获得一星。

新入榜的一星餐馆们则再次见证了伦敦的美食活力，这些餐馆在外观、风格以及料理上都非常不同。Brat是在Shoreditch一间酒吧楼上的餐馆，提供直火料理；位于St. James、充满创意的Ikoyi则为来客带来西非的风味。在Green Park对面的Hide或许是去年指南公布后最受期待与瞩目的餐馆，因为2017开幕的它是大厨Ollie Dabbous的回归之作，小而亲密的用餐空间正是流行，但这家全日营业、热闹的三层楼餐馆却反其道而行。由米其林一星餐馆Ellory背后团队主导、位于Shoreditch的新店Leroy令米其林评审员兴奋，同时，大厨Nieves Barragán的Sabor则显示了当主厨真正投入心力与灵魂时，餐馆能达到怎样的高度。
