The Landmark Mandarin Oriental
This year, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental is bringing back its popular Mooncake Bento Box (HK$ 458/6 pieces). Containing six pieces of Mini Egg Custard Mooncake, the two-tiered box is made from the sustainable material polylactic acid. Customers are invited to return the box to the hotel for recycling purposes after the celebration and enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne or mocktail at two-MICHELIN-Starred Amber or SOMM as a thank you for their sustainability effort. The collected boxes will be given a new lease of life by being repurposed into containers for in-room dining.

Rosewood Hong Kong, a hotel widely known for its focus on the arts, is joining hands with the Hong Kong Palace Museum to launch the “In Celebration of the Moon” Mooncake Gift Box (HK$ 498/6 pieces) this year. This limited-edition gift box offers two pieces of Traditional White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Double Egg Yolks, four pieces of The Legacy House Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes, and 40g of Jasmine Tea, all encased in an artfully designed box that highlights the city skyline and the iconic museum. It can also be transformed into a decorative paper lantern.
Additionally, the hotel is introducing a collection of mooncakes curated by its Chinese Executive Chef Li Chi Wai. Selections include Traditional White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Double Egg Yolks (HK$ 508/4 pieces) and The Legacy House Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes (HK $498/6 pieces).
Tea lovers should not miss “The Rosewood Treasure” Mooncake Gift Box (HK$1,288). Containing The Legacy House Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes, Lapsang Souchong Tea White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes, and Traditional White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Double Egg Yolk, the set is completed with two tins of premium “Shang Xia” Yunnan Black Tea and Pu-erh Tea.

This year, the established restaurant is offering three flavours of mooncake that encompass both sweet and savoury tastes (Hero Image: Forum). The Red Bean Paste Mooncake with Mandarin Peel (HK$ 590/4 pieces) features a filling that combines creamy red bean paste and fragrant mandarin peel. It is at once rich and aromatic. Enjoy classic flavours with the White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake with Two Yolks (HK$ 590/4 pieces), where the flavours of the ingredients are expertly balanced with no trace of greasiness. The Iberico Ham Mooncake with Assorted Nuts (HK$ 790/4 pieces) entices by pairing the 36-month-aged ham with a macadamia filling, delivering a sophisticated taste.

This year is no exception, and the one-MICHELIN-Starred restaurant is ready to bring back this iconic mooncake that enjoys worldwide recognition for infusing Western filling into Chinese pastry since its launch in 1986.
Man Ho
Led by Chef Jayson Tang, one-MICHELIN-Starred Man Ho is introducing a bakery pop-up counter for the first time this year, serving delectable handcrafted mooncakes fresh out of the oven (HK$ 188/4 pieces). Meticulously produced, the mooncakes are crafted by seasoned dim sum chefs using premium local flour. Every piece of mooncake will be baked on the spot and be enjoyed while it’s still warm, ensuring irresistible texture and aroma. The four flavours available include Macadamia Nuts and Winter Melon Paste; Taro Paste; Yunnan Ham, Rose and Red Date Paste; and Tangerine Peel and Red Bean Paste.
Alternatively, customers can also choose from a wider mooncake gift box collection prepared by the restaurant. If you are a fan of creative mooncakes, look no further than the offerings at Summer Palace. Led by Chef Leung Yu King, the one-MICHELIN-Starred restaurant introduces the Luna Mochi Mooncakes (HK$ 408/6 pieces), a creation that features soft and chewy mochi layers infused with velvety taro and crunchy pistachio. The mooncakes are encased in a half-moon shaped box that doubles as a jewellery box. Durian lovers should not miss the Musang King Durian Molten Lava Mooncakes (HK$ 408/6 pieces) that promise an aromatic and creamy treat that captures the unique richness of “the king of fruits.”
In addition to the creative offerings, the restaurant also offers an array of traditional mooncakes. Options include Red Bean Paste with Rare 80-Year Dried Tangerine Peel Collector's Gift Box (HK$ 1,358/8 pieces) and Seven-Star Mooncake Set (HK$ 1,158/8 pieces).
