Chinese New Year is a 15-day long celebration, and you will most likely find your social calendar filling up fast with reunion dinners, parties and gatherings those two weeks. While showing up at the door with a pair of Mandarin oranges is the minimum requisite, we've collated some great gift ideas to thank your host and make sure you get invited again next year.
1. Fancy organic Mandarin oranges from Spain.
A box of these will make you ah ma’s favourite grandchild. These Nardocott Mandarins are grown organically in Valencia, Spain, on a farm just 20km from the coast where sea breezes raise the temperature throughout the day so these oranges develop an intensely sweet flavour. This special breed of clementine is seedless and has an easy-to-peel thin skin, with a strong fragrance and a balance of sweetness and acidity. Available in limited quantities at Zenxin Organic Food Singapore.
