After the year we've had, we deserve to loosen our belts and enjoy the best the city has to offer with our closest friends and family this festive season. The celebrations might be quieter and cosier this year, but the festivities are no less merry when MICHELIN star restaurants across Singapore have pulled out all the stops for indulgent Christmas feasts and sparkly New Year menus.

Celebrate Christmas as the Irish do with chef-owner Andrew Walsh's newly launched Nua Irish cuisine at CURE. Start the festive meal with the familiar Irish staple of Soda, Stout & Treacle Bread, followed by hearty courses of A Porridge of Grains, Organic Egg Yolk, Aged Beef as well as Turbot, Irish Whelk, Pine. The season is encapsulated in sweets like Spiced Candied Pumpkins and Oat Cookie & Blackbush Egg Nog.

The relaxed restaurant on Stanley Street is still run by the same family behind MICHELIN-starred Gaig in Barcelona opened by celebrated chef Carles Gaig. Highlights of the Christmas Eve menu are Gaig’s traditional cannelloni, made with the same family recipe from 1869, as well as Monkfish Suquet, a traditional seafood stew that is a must-have for Catalan families at Christmas. Enticing tapas open the New Year's Eve menu while the Spanish tradition of enjoying prawns on New Year's Eve is honoured with the carabinero paella.

One MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2019

Jag's one-night only festive menus for Christmas and New Year are one for the books. Chef Jeremy Gillon will present eight expressions of his Savoie-herb led recipes featuring seasonal ingredients from the pristine mountains and farms in Northern France with a special spotlight on winter black truffles. On Christmas eve, diners will go home with a Christmas breakfast hamper of fresh bread, homemade butter, the chef's mother's jam, a handwritten menu and a bottle of personal Maison 21G scent. New Year's Day breakfast is also sorted for diners on the eve with bread, butter, jam and free-range Japanese Toretama eggs complete with a video tutorial by chef for making the perfect omelette.
