The full selection of the MICHELIN Guide Chengdu 2022 has been announced on Jan. 6, 2022, celebrating 1 two MICHELIN Star, 8 one MICHELIN Star and 13 Bib Gourmand restaurants, as well as a special award – the MICHELIN Service Award.

The 2022 selection highlights 3 new Two-Star restaurants, 21 new One-Stars and 14 Green Stars, plus 35 new Bib Gourmands and 2 new Special Awards.

The selection features 169 restaurants, including 24 one-Star, 7 two-Star and 2 three-Star restaurants, plus two new special MICHELIN awards.

The MICHELIN Guide Shanghai 2022 selection is announced today at the Xijiao State Guest Hotel, Shanghai, celebrating 1 new Three MICHELIN Star restaurant, 5 new One MICHELIN Star restaurants and the Bib Gourmand selection. For the first time, the MICHELIN Green Star comes to Shanghai, recognizing and encouraging sustainable gastronomy.

In the MICHELIN Guide Taipei & Taichung 2021, Taipei has 1 new 2-Star Restaurant and 5 new restaurants receive a first MICHELIN Star; Taichung has 2 new 1-Star restaurants; and, for the very first time, 2 restaurants in Taipei receive MICHELIN Green Stars.

The two new destinations are popular gastronomic centers with distinctive local flavors and diverse culinary traditions

The MICHELIN Guide's 2021 Bib Gourmand selection for Taipei and Taichung highlights 58 eateries in Taipei and 33 in Taichung. Among the selected venues, 19 are new, with 6 located in Taipei and 13 in Taichung.

Michelin announces the Star selection of the MICHELIN Guide Taipei & Taichung 2021 to be officially revealed via a virtual event at 1:30 PM Taiwan Time on 25 August 2021. The 2021 edition will also debut a brand-new distinction, the MICHELIN Green Star, to highlight role-model restaurants that outstandingly embody and embrace sustainability in their day-to-day operations.

Michelin Month returns for its third edition this May. This year, the month-long event aims to help restaurants impacted by COVID-19 and encourage diners to support the local food industry.

Among a total of 69 MICHELIN-starred restaurants in Hong Kong and 18 starred restaurants in Macau, 2 restaurants newly receive Two Stars and 8 restaurants receive One Star.

Among 28 MICHELIN Stars in total, 1 restaurant promoted to two-star status, plus 2 new entrants and 1 promoted in the one-star rating.

With 446 restaurants listed – including 2 new restaurants with Three Stars, 2 with Two Stars and 18 with One Star – as well as 34 hotels and ryokans, the Japanese capital continues to be one of the most dynamic and attractive destinations in the world for food and hospitality.
