The owner-chef honed his skills based on the teaching that cuisine is not about how much is served or how quickly. The distinctly un-Japanese cuisine-sounding name of the restaurant is inherited from the Chinese restaurant that this was when run by his father. There's a wide range of dishes to choose from, with standard items being duck and leek nabe, sabazushi, and handmade soba. The place has a relaxed, backstreet vibe, with a hospitable husband and wife team.
