This counter-style kappo restaurant is at the centre of one of the old pleasure quarters and is always lively. The owner-chef offers dishes that highlight the natural qualities of the ingredients, such as bamboo shoots takikomi-gohan in spring, stonefish surinagashi in summer, matsutake and hamo soup in autumn and tessa and yaki-fugu in winter. You can also eat here late in the evening.
