Few London restaurants can boast quite as colourful a history as this Mayfair institution, which was a veritable trailblazer when it opened back in the 1970s. Now refreshed and relaunched, it beckons you in from the street with its glowing neon sign, and inside it retains much of what made it so popular in its heyday. The art-filled dining room has an eye-catching elegance, the service is friendly yet formal and the menu is filled with all the brasserie classics, from Caesar salad and fish pie to beef Wellington for two and 'mousse au chocolat'.
