Brian Tyree Henry has worked with the best of the best, from Brad Pitt to Jennifer Lawrence. For his latest Apple TV+ series Dope Thief (launching on March 14), he even collaborated with the renowned Sir Ridley Scott.
Between film sets and red carpet events, the Oscar-nominated actor also focuses on excellence in whichever city he's in. Henry's breakthrough role was in the show Atlanta, but he now proudly calls Los Angeles home.
From tasty cookies to eclectic fashion to the most inviting bathtubs, below are his LA favorites.

What's your favorite hotel in LA?
The London West Hollywood
The bathrooms of this place keep me coming back. A deep, beautifully inviting bathtub is something I love in the hotels I stay in, and The London doesn’t disappoint. The aesthetic of the bathroom is just wonderful with Grecian-inspired tile. On top of that, every room has a personal balcony. And the chocolate chip cookies at this place are reason enough to spend days in your robe and never leave the room.
Do you have a favorite restaurant?
Loreto (Frogtown)
It's just a wonderful chill vibe. Delicious seafood Mexican fusion with desserts that just tantalize. Excellent mocktails as well. There’s valet which is always something I want especially if you want to be out on the weekend and I swear every time I go, I feel like they are playing a playlist I made! Good grooves always.

Favorite spot in town?
ROW DTLAWarehouses converted into art spaces, shops, and galleries that give you something new every time you visit. It’s simple to park and just stroll the day away in this space. I always stop by Dylan Lex Jewelry when I’m there because they always have something new and amazing. I can’t seem to leave empty-handed when I visit. Be warned.
Favorite place to shop?
L.A.G. Vintage (East Hollywood)If you’re like me and can never have enough nostalgic and eclectic t shirts, sweatshirts or clothing period, this place will take up your afternoon. Racks and racks of one-of-a-kind vintage clothes that always make you wonder “how and where the hell did they find this?!?” As soon as you purchase something from here, you’re glad that you’ll be the only and first person in LA to have it.

What about a favorite food truck?
I know I’m late to the game, but Yeastie Boys Bagel truck always brings a smile to my face when I see it and tears to my eyes when I eat from it. Haven’t met a bagel there I haven’t liked yet.
Where do you go to de-stress?
Levain Bakery in Larchmont Village
As a former New Yorker, when I was strolling in Larchmont (also a chill area to visit), I passed the window of a Levain in LA (which originated in NYC) and a few things happened. I screamed. Duh. Then I pressed my face on the glass out of disbelief and joy. The patrons inside, luckily, were very understanding.
If you haven’t, you must. To simply call this a cookie is blasphemous. To leave with less than half a dozen is a mistake. But to just go at all is a triumph.
