Five chefs from Singapore’s Michelin-rated restaurants show that besides spreading the festive cheer through healthy food, they can also belt out Christmas carols. In this video, the MICHELIN Guide Digital team takes them outside of their natural habitat of the kitchen and into the recording studio at Hark Music.
Chefs Beppe de Vito of Braci, Cheung Siu Kong of Summer Pavilion, Han Li Guang of Labyrinth, Kenji Yamanaka of béni and Manjunath Mural of The Song of India, which each has one Michelin star, stretched their vocal cords to spread some festive cheer. A jolly good effort for these first-timers in the recording studio.
Back in the kitchen at the Miele Lounge, the chefs whipped up colourful and festive dishes using healthy Naturel ingredients together, all while dancing to the upbeat music. Here, we think they look more comfortable in a space they are familiar in.
“I really enjoyed it,” says Mural. Not only did the chefs have fun during the whole song-and-dance experience, the MICHELIN Guide Digital team was also much entertained during the filming and recording to see them as their natural selves outside of the kitchen. “It was a very good experience. Please invite me again,” says Yamanaka.
The video below proves that not only can these top chefs cook, they can also carry a tune while wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
