From Drive to Table: Championing the MICHELIN Guide’s Heritage with Turo on the Road

This November and December, Turo guests are enjoying road trips to four restaurants named in the 2022 Michelin Guide California and New York City.

Drawing from MICHELIN’s heritage when it comes to travel and mobility, the MICHELIN Guide and Turo, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace, are unveiling their “Drive to Table” experience composed of culinary road trips to four MICHELIN-Starred restaurants in California and New York.

The partnership celebrates the MICHELIN Guide’s early beginnings as a product of brothers Andre and Edouard Michelin’s grand vision to promote the art of travel and mobility through the use of Michelin tires. The Guide was introduced in 1900 to encourage motorists to explore hidden gems, along with other helpful information such as restaurants and bed and breakfasts en route, information on how to change a tire, and where to fill up one’s vehicle with fuel.

Turo guests who booked select vehicles every Saturday from November 5 through December 18 2022, opened the doors to exclusive experiences at Barndiva in Healdsburg, Bell’s in Los Alamos, Al Coro in Manhattan, and Clover Hill in Brooklyn.

Guests who booked one of the select electric vehicles listed on Turo unlocked an exclusive weekend road trip complete with a behind-the-scenes culinary experience from one of the restaurants below, a coveted dinner reservation for two, and a one-night stay at a Tablet Hotel. In a nod to each chef’s commitment to sustainable cooking and Turo’s commitment to strengthening EV adoption in the U.S., the Drive to Table experience will feature electric vehicles to minimize each road trip’s carbon footprint.
