Last week, Beverly Hills got a dose of extra star wattage. Chef Kwame Onwuachi of Tatiana in New York hopped a plane for Los Angeles to create a one-night only experience at MICHELIN Guide One Star Gucci Osteria with chef Mattia Agazzi. Celebrating how food brings people together, chefs Onwuachi and Agazzi collaborated on the menu in honor of Black History Month marrying Afro-Caribbean cuisine with California-inspired Italian. Taking in the fare was Nia Renée Hill, emcee for the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony this past December. Equipped with her camera and oodles of style, Hill savored the hyperopic colors and flavors from first glance to the last bite. And while the evening was equal parts flavorful and fashionable, it was also a night that gave back with Gucci donating to the Hollywood Food Coalition in Los Angeles and No Kid Hungry, two organizations close to chefs Agazzi and Onwuachi, respectively. Below, Hill takes us inside her experience from checking out the monogram-filled racks to dining off Gucci Décor collection tableware.
