Having a long history with New York City’s food scene, chefs Daniel Boulud and Eric Ripert have known each other for quite some time, forging a beautiful friendship over the last several decades.
Showing each other their go-to watering holes, the pair first stop at the bar at Boulud’s eponymous two-Michelin-starred restaurant on East 65th Street, where lead bartender Marcie Andersen whips up tableside cocktails. The dynamic duo then moves across town to Ripert’s Aldo Sohm Wine Bar for a series of snacks and pours from wine director Aldo Sohm—including a 2013 Domaine Ott Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Rosé from an imperial bottle.
Watch as the chefs recount their pasts in both America and France, share their likes and dislikes and what their life would be like if they weren’t cooking.
