First Look: Merci Marcel

Tiong Bahru's latest foodie addition is all kinds of Parisian chic.

Bringing in a little Parisian chic to the hip neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru is Merci Marcel, a lifestyle concept store that is restaurant and boutique rolled into one. The space, gorgeous and light-filled, is split into three dining areas, an alfresco lounge area adjacent to the street, the indoor cafe and bar area, and to back, a lush garden patio that gets plenty of sunlight but enclosed and air-conditioned.

Two retail points bookend the cafe, where you can browse specially curated lifestyle products from cheese and wine to Kusmi teas and IZIPIZI sunglasses. Merci Marcel serves up an all-day menu with all of your brunch favourites to go with the freshly-roasted Tiong Hoe coffee that they serve up. In the evenings, the casual French social dining concept is brought to life with dishes meant for sharing.
The interiors are inspired by the French Riviera and the Balinese tropics, marrying feminine French chic with lush green vibes.
