With dozens of international cuisines represented across a dining scene that boasts over 80 MICHELIN-Starred establishments and 40+ Bib Gourmands, London is quite simply one of the best places to eat around the globe. With new London restaurants constantly opening and familiar favourites always evolving, here are the Inspectors’ latest additions to The MICHELIN Guide.
With only a few weeks to go until The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for Great Britain & Ireland 2026, this month represents our final round of additions before the year’s big event on Monday 9th February at the Convention Centre in Dublin. Ten London restaurants have been added to the selection, including several new projects from big-name chefs like Clare Smyth, Matt Abé, Angela Hartnett and Masa Takayama.
Check out our YouTube channel to watch the Ceremony live on the night. Until then, book your place at some of London’s best new openings.
Mezzogiorno, Embankment
ItalianFrancesco Mazzei has been a fixture of London’s Italian dining scene stretching back decades and now he’s made a move to the swanky Corinthia Hotel, with an equally swanky new restaurant. His seasonal menu puts pasta dishes to the fore and specialises in southern Italian flavours, as Mazzei has for much of his career. The attentive yet unobtrusive service adds to the appeal.
Corenucopia by Clare Smyth, Belgravia
Traditional BritishGiven Three-MICHELIN-Star CORE has been one of London’s best restaurants for quite some time, news of Clare Smyth opening a new restaurant was bound to get people excited. Corenucopia is her take on classic British recipes (with a few French ones thrown in too), utilising top-drawer ingredients to recreate the likes of toad in the hole and custard tart. A dedicated menu of 10 different potato dishes is worth the trip alone.
Bonheur by Matt Abé, Mayfair
Modern CuisineThe dining room formerly known as Le Gavroche is now in the hands of Gordon Ramsay acolyte Matt Abé. When you take over such an iconic space, the only true way to make it your own is to start afresh – so there has been a full redesign here, with neutral tones and dried flowers leading the way. The cooking is as superb as you’d expect, with impressive craft and utterly delicious flavours in every mouthful.
Kerfield Arms, Camberwell
Modern BritishDeep in the heart of Camberwell, this terrific pub comes from the team behind The Baring in Islington. That should be a clue that the cooking here is a cut above the norm, with excellent ingredients treated with the care they deserve by a skilled kitchen team. The pared-back dishes let the big, hearty flavours of the produce do the talking. All in all, this is a very welcome addition to London’s pub dining scene.
Lilibet’s, Mayfair
SeafoodThis is the sort of restaurant that you only really find in Mayfair. A beautiful dining room that catches the eye at every turn and a menu chock-full of enticing seafood produce. Think oysters, a crudo bar and fish filleted at the table. The menu, designed for sharing, also includes lesser-known species, along with more accessibly priced dishes like fritto misto or baked rice with prawns. For dessert, don’t overlook the ‘Princess Cake’.
BELLY, Kentish Town
FilipinoBringing a boost to London’s Filipino dining scene, this welcoming restaurant has a great vibe courtesy of its cocktails, pumping soundtrack and lip-smacking cooking. High-quality produce and the kitchen’s knack for flavours result in a range of delicious dishes, including frozen custard profiteroles with an eye-catching and incredibly moreish fish sauce caramel. The caring, enthusiastic service is the icing on the cake.
Rosi, Mayfair
Traditional BritishThe former Colony Room at the Two-MICHELIN-Key Beaumont Hotel has been given a smart makeover and is now under the stewardship of the team from the former Game Bird at The Stafford, including Lisa Goodwin-Allen as a consultant. The result is a bright, stylish restaurant that’s all about the classics. Think seafood cocktail, homemade pork pies or calf’s liver and bacon.
Cicoria, Covent Garden
ItalianWhat used to be the Piazza restaurant inside the undeniably gorgeous Royal Opera House has had a full refurbishment and is now this stylish Italian under the direction of Angela Hartnett. Her mastery of classic Italian flavours is clear to see in the pared-back dishes that do the simple things well. The set lunch menu is a great way to go, starting with wonderful salami, giardiniera and focaccia.
74 Charlotte Street by Ben Murphy, Fitzrovia
Modern BritishCharlotte Street will already be familiar to many of London’s food lovers, as home to restaurants including Kinkally, Elsa and the city’s longest-standing MICHELIN Star, Pied à Terre. Ben Murphy is its latest resident, bringing the ambition and creativity he showed during his time at Launceston Place to this sleek contemporary space. Head to the upstairs bar for a drink before or after dinner.
Tobi Masa, Mayfair
JapaneseThe Chancery Rosewood was one of 2025’s biggest hotel openings in the capital, and with it came this restaurant bearing the name of sushi supremo Masa Takayama. Leave the decision making to the team with an omakase experience at the counter, or splash out on the likes of A5 wasabi steak or toro nigiri from the à la carte. If you’d rather keep things a little more affordable, the steamed chicken dumplings are delicious.
