Every MICHELIN Key Hotel in the UK & Ireland

Explore the full list of hotels awarded One, Two or Three MICHELIN Keys in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including the 19 new Keys added for 2025.

The MICHELIN Guide now includes over 7,000 hotels across the world – and not a single one is simply a room for the night. These are places that significantly add to your experience as a traveller, each vetted by our hotel experts and judged as excellent across five categories: architecture and interior design; overall personality and character; quality and consistency of service; value between the level of the experience and the price paid; and the hotel's contribution within its particular locality.

Which brings us to the Keys. On 8th October 2025, The MICHELIN Guide Inspectors revealed their new Key distinctions, highlighting what they consider to be the most outstanding hotels in the UK and Ireland. Just like the MICHELIN Stars for restaurants, the MICHELIN Keys represent our most outstanding hotels. In total, The MICHELIN Guide hotel selection for Great Britain and Ireland includes 14 Three-Key hotels, 43 Two-Key hotels and 82 One-Key hotels, with 19 hotels newly awarded for 2025.

On this page, you’ll find all of our Key distinctions, sorted by the number of Keys and their location within the UK and Ireland. Click on any hotel to go straight to its homepage and learn more about its special qualities. Alternatively, head here  to discover our newest Keys all in one place or explore our Magazine page for more in-depth Hotel and Travel inspiration.

Best-of-the-Best

14 properties hold our highest hotel honour, the exclusive Three Key distinction. Of these, one makes its home in the Scottish countryside (The Gleneagles Hotel), two in 19th-century country estates in the Republic of Ireland (Adare Manor and Ballyfin Demesne), three in the English countryside (Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, Lucknam Park and the Newt in Somerset), and the rest across some of the most impressive addresses in London. Among the latter, even first-time visitors will recognise the most iconic of British names, including Claridge's, The Connaught and The Savoy.

London Lodgings

You’ll find nearly a third of the hotels on this list in London, including eight of the Three-Keys, 17 of the Two-Keys and 20 One-Keys. You can expect a range of styles that includes sheer opulence (the Bvlgari Hotel London and the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park), Georgian and Victorian inspiration (Flemings Mayfair, COMO The Halkin and The Langham) and more than a few designs from superlative hoteliers Tim and Kit Kemp (the Knightsbridge Hotel, Charlotte Street Hotel and Ham Yard Hotel).

There’s no easy way to sum up the scene here in London, as this is one of the best cities in the world for both variety and creativity of hotels – the list below proves it. To really discover it for yourself, head over to our Complete Hotel Guide to London, where you'll find comprehensive guides according to price, style, neighbourhood and services, whether that's the best Cocktail Bars and Spas, the most Stunning Rooftops or top spots for Afternoon Tea.

Country and Coast

The big cities make their presence known in our Key selection, but the appeal of the country and the coast is undeniable too. It may come as a surprise, but it’s often in the UK's smaller towns and villages that we find the most eccentric hotel designs, as exemplified by the likes of Artist Residence OxfordshireBULL Burford and The Swan Southwold.

The Republic of Ireland, meanwhile, tends towards the more stately, typified by historic spots like Ashford CastleCashel PalaceDromoland Castle and Park Hotel Kenmare.
