Kenny Kong is on a roll. Not only did the RWS’ executive pastry chef - who is also president of Singapore Pastry Alliance president - guide his team to edge out 10 other countries and clinch the biennial Asian Pastry Cup last year, but he is also using new restaurant Sessions to showcase his finesse when it comes to sweet treats.
Take the frozen yogurt and floss tower. The concoction is made up of wispy pink floss perched atop a light, creamy homemade soft serve and served over dry ice for visual effect. Another spectacular display is a chocolate sphere dessert that yields to a warm coconut sauce, revealing a luscious orange chiffon tart at its center.

Named Sessions after the idea of a lively music session, the latest addition to the stellar line-up of restaurants in Resorts World Sentosa is essentially a multi-concept restaurant where diners come to feast and spend quality time together. On the menu are popular local dishes such as butter or chilli crab, as well as New Orleans buckets filled with prawns, mussels, sweet corn and paprika-coated potatoes. On weekends, the tables are laden with a buffet spread of freshly poached prawns, seafood gumbo and hearty fare such as chicken and chorizo Jambalaya rice.

Sessions also has a fully-equipped
cooking studio that lets you get behind the stoves to play chef for a day.
Here, hands-on cooking classes are held under the guidance of RWS’ top chefs, with
programmes ranging from decorating cupcakes to whipping up a multi-course fine
dining menu.
Booking details: Sessions is located on the lobby level of Hard Rock Hotel Singapore. Crab Sessions is open for lunch from 12.00pm to 2.30pm, and dinner from 6.00pm to 10.00pm daily. Sweet Sessions is open all day from 11.00am to 10.00pm daily. A weekend seafood dinner buffet takes place on Fridays and Saturdays. Visit their website for more information.
