The Ned NoMad

The Johnston Building on Broadway, dating back to 1903, once housed the NoMad Hotel, which played a key role in making the NoMad (that’s North of Madison Square Park) neighborhood a destination for modern-day New Yorkers. Today marks another chapter in the property’s evolution as the home of The Ned NoMad, a luxury boutique hotel and members' club, and a sibling to the original Ned in London. For their first hotel in New York, Pendry — the urban luxury-hotel imprint of the Montage Resorts brand — is staking out new territory in Manhattan West, part of the ambitious Hudson Yards Redevelopment. Perched on the north tip of the High Line, occupying an undulating glass tower by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Pendry Manhattan West has been instrumental in shifting the city’s luxury-hospitality center of gravity a bit further towards the Hudson.
