There’s an undeniable buzz of festive magic growing in the air as Singapore hurtles toward the year-end holiday season.
From dazzling decorations to festive light displays, the urban metropolis is rapidly transforming into a Yuletide wonderland, complete with Christmas trees, holiday carnivals and every chef in the city working overtime to deliver feasts worthy of the occasion.
The only thing that’s missing in sunny Singapore is the wintry December chill — though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially if you’re looking to enjoy a jolly night out in the city that never sleeps.
Read on for a holidaymaker’s guide to celebrating Christmas the Singapore way.
EAT
Christmas isn’t Christmas without an advent calendar stuffed with all manner of decadent festive treats. In Singapore, look forward to enjoying holiday staples like roasted turkey, panettone and Yule log cakes with flavor inflections inspired by the city’s cultural melting pot.
JAAN by Kirk Westaway
Two MICHELIN StarsMICHELIN Guide Singapore 2025
Dining at Two-MICHELIN-Starred Jaan By Kirk Westaway always feels like a special occasion, thanks in no small part to its exceptional service and elevated takes on British classics.
Its one-night-only Christmas Eve menu, however, pushes the experience a step further with the likes of grilled king crab leg, paired with sweet legs and Kristal caviar for a splash of extra panache. This comes on top of menu staples like the langoustine tail with roasted cauliflower and white truffle, seabass fillet and Kagoshima Wagyu tenderloin — plus a flute of festive bubbly to mark the occasion. If that all sounds too indulgent, a slightly more-restrained version of the menu can also be had for Christmas Day brunch the next day.
Jaan By Kirk Westaway is at Swissôtel The Stamford, Equinox Complex, Level 70, 2 Stamford Road, 178882, Singapore. Book your table here.
CUT
One MICHELIN StarMICHELIN Guide Singapore 2025
Meals at the Singapore outpost of Wolfgang Puck’s CUT always center around great steaks kissed by its 1200-degree broiler, and Christmas lunch is no exception. The festive indulgence begins simply enough with a greeting of seven starters — including a mainstay in the prime sirloin steak tartare with herb aioli — before graduating to the big leagues.
Stomach stuffers for the holiday season range from Japanese Wagyu chargrilled over binchotan (Japanese charcoal) to the UK Earl Stonham Full Blood Wagyu and Suffolk New York Sirloin with a side of yuzu kosho butter. To finish on a sweet note, guests will be able to pick between a Basque-style cheesecake with raspberries and an accompanying raspberry coulis, or the decadent peanut caramel bar with Bailey’s, coffee caramel, Guanaja cremeux and a generous dose of honeycomb ice cream.
CUT is at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Galleria Level, #B1-71, 10 Bayfront Avenue, 018972, Singapore. Book your table here.

Its month-long Christmas menu (from now until Jan. 1) features rib-sticking plates like the duck à l’orange pâté croûte, Australian beef Wellington, roasted fresh scallops and a classic chocolate Christmas log cake for a sweet, sticky finish. A brunch classic in the restaurant’s whole roasted chicken, which they serve alongside an inspired locavore turn of French-style chicken rice topped off with crispy chicken skin, will also be made available for takeaway this Christmas.
Claudine is located at 39C Harding Road, 249541, Singapore. Book your table here.

Raffles Hotel Singapore
Three MICHELIN KeysMICHELIN Guide Singapore 2025
Raffles Hotel Singapore needs no introduction. The grande dame of Singapore’s hospitality industry is the only hotel to have earned a Three MICHELIN Key distinction in the country, and the reasons for the accolade are self-evident in the legacy, architecture and hospitality radiating from every square inch of the luxurious colonial icon.
Guests don’t stay here for the convenience — though it is naturally well-situated to enjoy what Christmas in Singapore has to offer — they stay here for the story, which is why its holiday package entails a complimentary tour with the hotel’s resident historian.

Capella Singapore
One MICHELIN KeyMICHELIN Guide Singapore 2025
Here’s a plan for holidaymakers that want some actual post-revelry peace and quiet — ditch the Singaporean mainland altogether, and head offshore to the serene island of Sentosa.
There, you’ll find the secluded sanctuary of Capella Singapore and its well-manicured golf courses. There’s no place better — nor more luxurious — to get away from the bustle of Christmas in the Lion City, though of course, guests can still participate in slower-paced festive joys like wreathmaking workshops and pasta masterclasses.
Cost of Stay: Prices start at S$1,918 for its lead-in Premier Garden Twin Bed Room. Book your stay here.
Mandarin Oriental Singapore
One MICHELIN KeyMICHELIN Guide Singapore 2025
While Mandarin Oriental Singapore is slightly further from the Orchard Road action, the One MICHELIN Key hotel makes up for it with rooms that are hard to rival in elegance, style or discretion.
Its relatively recent renovation has left it sparkling with refurbished amenities both within and outside its rooms, which could make it harder for guests to tear themselves away for the nearby Christmas activities at Marina Bay. Just make sure to use the complimentary ticket for the Christmas Train Show at the Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome if you’re booking a festive stay.
Cost of Stay: Prices start at S$1,799 for its lead-in Deluxe King Room. Book your stay here.
Shangri-La Hotel Singapore
MICHELIN SelectedMICHELIN Guide Singapore 2025
The regal Shangri-La Singapore scores top points for its proximity to Singapore’s Orchard Road shopping belt and the grandeur of its annual Christmas lights, and that’s before factoring in the family-friendly deal it’s got going for the festive season.
Expect a complimentary set of festive amenities plus three hours of playtime at its interactive play space, buds by Shangri-La, and outdoor water playground, Splash. At the very least, that’ll mean three hours of rest while the kiddos burn off any leftover festive energy.
Cost of Stay: Prices start at S$494 for its lead-in Tower Wing Deluxe King Room. Book your stay here.
PLAY
For what Singapore lacks in snow and historic Christmas markets, it makes up for in technological wizardry, ingenuity and festive spirit. Here are the hottest places in town this holiday season.
Enjoy the Christmas lights along Orchard Road
If you only have time for one Christmassy event in Singapore, it has to be the annual light-up along Orchard Road. It’s been a fixture of the island’s busiest shopping street since 1984 and it is legendary — not just for the sparkling decorations overhead, but also the great shopping deals at every mall along the way.
Head to the Gardens by the Bay for Christmas
Snowfall and Singapore don’t exactly go together — unless you’re at the Gardens by the Bay’s Christmas Wonderland, where nightly “blizzards” are matched with a sprawling Christmas market, carnival games, illuminated photo-ups and live music among the Supertrees.
Shop ‘til you drop at Togetherland by World Christmas Market
Should time and festive energy permit, visitors might want to consider pairing the Christmas Wonderland experience with Togetherland at the Bayfront Event Space nearby. Expect nine festive zones stuffed with last-minute stocking fillers, Christmas-themed grub and an impact space for charities and social enterprises to raise funds with handcrafted gifts. It is the season of goodwill, after all.
Have a wild holiday at the Singapore Zoo
Head away from the city and enjoy a furry, feathery Christmas at Singapore’s five wildlife attractions, collectively known as the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Highlights of the park’s seasonal transformation include sparkly snowflake projections all around the penguin exhibit, a Christmas-themed bird show and an 8-meter-tall Christmas tree adorned with animal-themed ornaments.
