Ahead of the Dragon Boat Festival, MICHELIN hotels and restaurants introduce limited edition rice dumpling flavors, giving celebrants the chance to enjoy innovative creations alongside traditional favorites.
This year, the celebrations kick off on May 31, with new and exciting rice dumplings already available across Hong Kong and Macau. Here are nine MICHELIN-recommended spots to sample some of the best.

JW Marriott Hotel Macau
Located within the Galaxy Macau integrated resort, JW Marriott’s all-day dining restaurant Urban Kitchen is set to delight celebrants with three classic rice dumpling offerings this year: the Premium Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Abalone and Conpoy (MOP239/USD29.7 per piece), the Classic Pork Glutinous Rice Dumpling (MOP98/USD12 per piece), and the Red Bean Glutinous Rice Dumpling (MOP68/USD8 per piece). Weighing over 1.2 kg, the dumpling is crafted with premium ingredients such as South African abalone, fish maw, and Japanese conpoy (dried scallops). The set also includes a jar of XO sauce infused with shrimp essence and a serving of fragrant green tangerine Pu'er tea.Alternatively, opt for the Duo Delights Rice Dumpling Gift Set (MOP308/USD38). For a nutritious vegan option, the Nepal Rock Rice Dumpling (MOP220/USD27 per piece) is thoughtfully crafted with assorted beans, matsutake mushrooms, and morel mushrooms.For guests who prefer to dine in, the Sweet Glutinous Rice Dumpling (MOP$98/USD$12 per piece) is available at Imperial Court from now until May 31, 2025. Forum’s rice dumplings never disappoint, and this year, the restaurant presents a selection of exceptional creations once again. The Roast Duck Rice Dumpling with Conpoy (HKD240/USD30 per piece) combines salted duck eggs and perfectly balanced pork belly, delivering a multilayered taste. Inside the soft exterior of the Red Bean Paste with Mandarin Peel Rice Dumpling (HKD170/USD21 per piece) lies a smooth red bean paste infused with aged tangerine peel. Crafted with South African abalone and roasted goose, this rice dumpling is paired with 20 grams of Fuding cold dew white tea, for a delicate floral fragrance.
