England’s Michelin Starred Restaurants Offering Takeaway & Delivery

Dining at home has never tasted so good

With the current national lockdown and new tier restrictions looming, restaurants are doing all that they can to keep trading, with many turning to offering pre-prepared gourmet food boxes to be reheated and plated at home (most are pre-cooked meals which come with step-by-step instructions and some even include links to supporting videos).

Cartmel – L'Enclume and Rogan & Co

Where? Local collection / nationwide delivery
When? Pre-order for collection in their shop in Cartmel Village or for nationwide delivery Fri-Sun
Menu: 3 course, weekly changing, with a vegetarian alternative
e.g. Middle white pork, parsnip & carrot hotpot, turnips and cider mustard sauce
Add-ons: Caviar, cheese, wine flights


Dishes are created in their Cartmel kitchens using top seasonal ingredients from their farm and local suppliers. Heating and preparation instructions are provided, along with a QR code linking to videos offering step-by-step instructions and plating suggestions from the chefs.

They are also offering 5 course Christmas and New Year menus for delivery 18th-23rd and 28th-30th December.

Hampton in Arden – Peel's

Where? Local delivery
When? Sign up to their newsletter for announcements of sale times. Order by Mon for delivery Fri or Sat (depending on your postcode)
Menu: 3 course meat or vegetarian
e.g. Huntsman Farm pork & apricot stuffed quail with caramelized cauliflower, roasted onion, cauliflower purée and crispy onions

Add-ons: Wine pairing of the week


Packaging is cool-safe outside the fridge for 24hrs and you can leave your old box out to be collected and re-used. Everything can be prepared within 30mins: follow the videos on the website for guidance on heating and plating. You can tag the results with #TheRealPeel @HamptonManor on Twitter.

A four course Christmas menu is available for delivery on Christmas Eve; add-ons include cocktails, cheeseboards and Christmas pudding.

Oldstead – Black Swan

Where? Local collection / nationwide delivery
When? Delivery slots released weekly for delivery 9am-5pm Fri
Menu: 3 and 5 course food boxes for two to share

e.g. Venison Bourguignon, Cow Corner milk polenta, Oldstead honey glazed carrots & parsnips
Add-ons: Cheese; coffee and cookies; mini cocktails, ales and wines


Choose from a selection of boxes, all for two to share:
‘Made in Oldstead’ (contains one 3 course meal – choose menu A [vegetarian], B or C)
‘Classic Weekend’ (contains two different 3 course meals)
‘Signature’ (contains one 5 course meal and a bottle of wine)

Malmesbury – The Dining Room, Whatley Manor

Something a little different, the brightly coloured Paradise Carriage sits in the grounds of Whatley Manor and offers weekly changing takeaway menus, beers and wines. It’s open Weds-Sat 4-8pm and Sun 1-8pm, and you can either pre-order 24hrs in advance Mon-Sun 9-5pm, or drive up, choose from the blackboard menu, then wait in your car (approx. 20mins prep time).

Seasonal local ingredients feature in unfussy dishes such as burgers, pizzas and chilli con carne – and they also do Sunday roasts.

East Chisenbury – Red Lion Freehouse

When? Weds-Sat (order by 4pm the previous day, pickup 11-4.30pm); Sunday roast (order by 4pm Fri, pick-up 11-1pm)
Menu: Changes regularly

e.g. Cornish monkfish with chorizo, chickpeas and tomato fondue

We love: 20mins or less to prepare; bakery open Sat & Sun 9-1pm 


Hambleton – Hambleton Hall

Where? Local collection and delivery
When? Order 48hrs ahead, Mon-Fri 9-4pm; collection Mon-Fri 11-12pm and Sat 10.30am
Menu: Concise choice of seasonal dishes

e.g. Confit duck leg with spiced lentils, braised chicory and plums in grenadine
Add-ons: Wine
We love: Bakery offers bread, tarts, honey, eggs and milk 


Little Dunmow – The Flitch of Bacon

Where? Local collection
When? Pre-order for collection Thurs-Sat 4-7.30pm and Sunday 12.30-3pm
Menu: Winter warmers and Sunday roasts

e.g. Slow-braised Hereford beef with baby onions, flitch of bacon and creamed potato
Add-ons: Cocktails, wines
We love: Thurs – curry night; Fri – fish and chips night; weekend specials 


Langho – Northcote

Where? Local collection / nationwide delivery
When? Orders open 12pm Tues – 10am Fri for collection/delivery the following week
Menu: Choose from a ‘Classic’ or ‘Seasonal’ set menu for two

e.g. Truffled brioche-crusted roast chicken with leg bolognese, wild mushrooms and Lyonnaise potato

We love: Choice of red only, white only, or red and white wine pairings 


Newcastle – House of Tides

Where? Local collection and delivery
When? Collections 1-3pm and deliveries 12-3pm on: Fri (order by midnight Tues) and Sat (order by midnight Weds).
Menu: Weekly changing with 4 courses, a snack and a treat

e.g. Slow-cooked shin of beef with pease pudding, chestnut mushrooms and smoked bacon

St Helier – Bohemia

Torquay – Elephant

When? Pre-order by 6pm the previous day for collection Weds or Sat 1-3pm

Menu: Set main course and dessert
e.g. Day boat Brixham John Dory ‘en papillote’ with white wine, olive oil and fennel cream, and herb-buttered new potatoes

We love: Good value base menu where you can build-your-own via the add-ons
