MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

It might sit within a nondescript corporate development but Ikoyi brings with it plenty of vibrancy. You’re unlikely to come across the place by chance but there’s no denying it is making a mark on the capital’s dining scene. It’s owned by two childhood friends and chef Jeremy brings a unique, inimitable approach and a great passion for West African flavours.

The surprise menus feature fanatically sourced, micro-seasonal ingredients, with biodynamic vegetables, 100% organic meats, and fish from British waters dispatched using the Ikejime method. The chef’s passion for Japan is also apparent in the pared-down décor of the restaurant and the understated delivery of the dishes. Innovative combinations come with punchy spicing and vivid colours; the vibrant plantain, beetroot and scotch bonnet dish will really get your taste buds fired up.
