Franciacorta is a sparkling wine from Italy’s Lombardy region. The couple who run this osteria used to run one back in Italy and now offer both Lombardy wines and cuisine. Dishes are faithful to tradition: risotto is made with Carnaroli rice; pasta is served al dente. The number ‘87’ in Italian is ‘ottanta sette’. This is a play on the phrase ‘ho tanta sete’, meaning ‘I’m thirsty’. Wet your whistle on some Italian bubbly.
