There’s a reason Gibson’s Italia is a see-and-be-seen kind of place. By day, the room is flooded with sunlight and stunning panoramic views of the Chicago River. Come dinnertime, the lights dim and the twinkling cityscape offers romantic magic, while a rooftop bar with fireplace opens up in the summer. And all of that’s before you even taste the delicious food. Much like its sister restaurant in the cheeky "Viagra Triangle," this Gibson's is an old-school bastion of martinis and red meat. Classics get gussied up with contemporary Italian touches in antipasti plates like the crabmeat and avocado parfait. This menu also features aged Australian grass-fed beef and specialty cuts like the Japanese A5 sirloin from the Hyōgo Prefecture, charged by the ounce.
