Why cook dinner when it’s all too easy to drop into this sleek retreat for a quick bite or linger with friends over sake and sips? One of the few spots in town that is open late, Sushi-San's menu is built for crowds—imagine the likes of filling rice bowls and extensive lists of maki. Charcoal-grilled proteins and vegetables, like the delicious Vietnamese Berkshire pork or charred cauliflower, also make for true-blue feasts. The interior is hip and minimalist, furnished with wooden seats, exposed ductwork, a black ceiling and pumping hip-hop beats. A counter in the back is best for a more intimate experience with the chef. Service is friendly and efficient; and if in a rush, rest easy, as you could be in and out in under half an hour if need be.
