Shinji Ishida refurbished a restaurant formerly run by his grandmother, whose family name lives on in the shop’s name. The chef feels affection for his roots and home region. Vital to each prix fixe meal is the ambience of the season. He creates dishes that remind us we’re in Kyoto through combinations of fresh seasonal ingredients. The course features two pasta dishes—one using dry noodles and the other, handmade. Dishes are cooked and seasoned just right to express the flavours of ingredients directly and honestly.
