Few people would think of combining Italian and Japanese cuisine, but the unusual fusion works a treat at this fun neighbourhood spot owned by two friends. Sit at the marble counter to watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen, as they craft a kaiseki-style tasting menu which could include such creations as rosemary and nori focaccia or chawanmushi flavoured with datterini tomatoes. Keep an eye out for the pasta dishes, as they're a highlight.
