A household name for traditional Beijing home cooking since 1994, this branch is directly opposite the flagship. Its glass façade and sleek architecture set a contemporary tone. The dishes may not be attention-grabbing, but are skillfully made with fresh ingredients and are very reasonably priced. Try braised Zhoushan hairtail for its extra-fine flesh in a mildly sweet sauce, or the silky, flavourful braised tofu with fish roe.
