The latest MICHELIN Guide Thailand broadens its horizons, featuring Bangkok and its vicinities, Phuket & Phang-Nga, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Ko Samui and Surat Thani mainland and the newly added province, Chon Buri. This expanded coverage showcases the vibrant flavors that characterize Thailand’s culinary landscape.
In addition to the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony, the celebration will feature a range of awards, from MICHELIN Stars to special award recipients, as well as MICHELIN Green Star recipients. The MICHELIN Green Star is given to one or more restaurants that outstandingly embody and embrace sustainability in its day-to-day operations, through such efforts including recycling, food waste reduction, or promotion of local and seasonal ingredient sourcing. Winners of these awards are selected based on research and data collected from the MICHELIN Guide inspectors’ fieldwork.
In the lead-up to the event, the excitement builds with the release of the Bib Gourmand selection, showcasing establishments that offer exceptional cooking at a good value a week prior. This selection celebrates the rich diversity of Thai cuisine, encompassing everything from upscale restaurants to beloved street food vendors.
