After 25 years at the helm, Joachim Wissler is handing over the management of the elegant fine dining restaurant of the upscale Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg to his long-standing sous-chef and confidant Dennis Kuckuck. The cuisine is based on the French classics and rounded out with modern influences. Of the two set menus, one is vegetarian; both come in a five- or seven-course format. You can also opt for the wine pairings or the alcohol-free alternatives devised to go with the set menu. The excellent wine list is worth a look in any case.
