Michelin has delivered ’COVID-19 sanitary kit’ to all of the 178 restaurants recently selected in the MICHELIN Guide Seoul 2021 to help chefs, restaurant teams and their visitors stay safe amid the global pandemic.
The sanitary kits include masks, hand sanitizers, hand soaps, sanitizing wet tissues, and mask straps.
For the chefs and their team members who are facing difficult times during the crisis, the MICHELIN Guide also conveyed a message of gratitude for its unwavering commitment and support to overcome the hardships together.
The recent initiative is just part of a series of activities carried out by Michelin to support the dining industry and local communities. Previously in May 2020, Michelin collaborated with 27 MICHELIN-starred restaurants in Seoul to deliver 1,500 lunchboxes to healthcare workers in COVID-19-dedicated hospitals around Seoul as well as senior citizens who live alone.
In November 2020, Michelin unveiled the 2021 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Seoul. In its 5th year, the enriched restaurant selection showcases 2 three-star, 7 two-star, 23 one-Star, 60 Bib Gourmand and 86 MICHELIN Plate establishments.
