Damiano Alberti opened this unfussy trattoria back in 2009 and it’s easy to see how it’s built up a loyal band of local followers over the years. Its name means ‘Wine Mania’ and it offers an impressive list of over 1,000 wines, mostly from Burgundy and Alberti’s native Piedmont, which you can sample via a tasting in the wine cellar. The weekly changing menu offers straightforward, satisfying dishes that respect Italian traditions, including the likes of 'risotto ai funghi con brasato di cinghiale' – a rich, flavourful offering comprising creamy mushroom risotto and braised wild boar.
