Ronny Chieng's New York - The Perfect Slice and Haute Sushi

The actor and comedian breaks down his West Village staples.

For actor and comedian Ronny Chieng, New York is home. The Malaysian-Chinese star grew up in Singapore and New Hampshire before studying in Melbourne, Australia. However, Manhattan came calling with Chieng becoming a correspondent on The Daily Show pulling double (and triple duty) also working on his own stand-up with specials for Netflix (he's currently on his 'The Love to Hate It' tour), and a starring role in the 2018 blockbuster, Crazy Rich Asians.

But for Chieng, New York is more than work, it's home. And one way the comedian likes to enjoy the city is through its rich, culinary diversity. Food is more than just sustenance, and Chieng believes it's about enriching one's life with friends, family, and yes, really good food. Above, explore New York's West Village through Chieng's eyes and discover the spots he can't get enough of. From elevated takes on sushi at Bib Gourmand Nami Nori, to his favorite slice joint, Chieng breaks down what sets the neighborhood apart from the rest of the city.
