Plant-based southern pop-ups at Kru
The Kru Cookbook Club, an event series at the Brooklyn Thai spot, will host Chef Mehreen Karim for a potluck meal on May 18 where guests can make recipes inspired by Karim’s new cookbook, Make It Plant-Based! Southern. On May 21, Karim is back collaborating with Kru Chef Ohm Suansilphong for a seven-course fusion dinner with a massaman curry pot pie and southern-spun tom yum on the menu.

COQODAQ goes big on brunch
COQODAQ, the cult favorite Korean fried chicken Bib Gourmand in Flatiron, is out with their new brunch menu, a prix-fixe meal that’s straight out of their winning high-low formula. Among the options in each course: French toast sticks with crème anglaise, chicken and waffles with a maple butter soy drizzle, and a soft scrambled egg sandwich on an English muffin with caviar, truffle, and smoked salmon add-on possibilities.
A new experimental tasting menu at Joomak
Joomak, the January rebirth of Chef Jiho Kim’s formerly MICHELIN Starred Joomak Banjum, has a new five-course tasting menu available just for guests at the intimate five-seater bar. The R&D Bar Menu changes every day and leverages the experimental tendencies of the kitchen team, who play with seasonality in dishes like kampachi and razor clam in a ramp ponzu sauce.
Luxury sailing with The Mark hotel
Naturally, The Mark hotel (Two MICHELIN Keys), the very picture of timeless Upper East Side class, has a 70-foot sailboat – and you’re invited on board. Ticketed sunset cruises, from Tribeca southwards towards the Statue of Liberty, are available on Resy for departures beginning later this month. The menu – featuring lobster rolls, oysters, and a champagne toast – is from the legendary Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Brunch at Lingo in Greenpoint
Starting Friday, April 25, Lingo will begin offering guests Friday brunch service. Courtesy of Executive Chef Emily Yuen, expect a menu filled with Japanese-inspired flavors combined with global influences. Highlights include apple tarte tatin pancakes, wild mushroom and sunchoke toast, and a spicy chicken sando.
Japanese-inspired weekend brunch at Moody Tongue Sushi
On April 26, Moody Tongue Sushi is launching their weekend brunch service. Created as a way to pay homage to the flavors from the streets of Japan, the brunch menu will be available every Saturday from 12 to 3:30 p.m. and will feature inventive takes on Japanese breakfast staples.Expect a mix of sweet and savory flavors with items like donburi bowls, Japanese-inspired avocado toast, and Japanese pancakes. Those wanting a more traditional Japanese experience can look to the Japanese ichiju sansai breakfast. A curated brunch cocktail menu that seamlessly blends Japanese flavors is also available, along with non-alcoholic options like Hojicha green tea and a selection of coffee.

Pasta tasting at Massara
Pasta lovers rejoice: Massara (Chef Stefano Secchi and David Switzer of One MICHELIN Star Rezdôra) is launching their new pasta tasting menu ($95 per person with an optional wine pairing for an added $95), exclusively offered at the first-floor bar! Guests can expect a variety of five classic and contemporary pasta dishes with hits like candele, gnocchi di patate, and bottone de castagna.
Atoboy’s New Spring Menu
In celebration of Spring, husband and wife duo Chef Junghyun ‘JP’ Park and Ellia Park are introducing a $75 prix fixe menu. The four-course meal evolves with the seasons and celebrates the Korean spirit of dining together.
Expect dishes like pork galbi, oxtail sooyuk, and squid, along with house favorites like sea urchin, fried chicken, and sujeonggwa granita. Wines from various regions, craft beers, and a variety of alcohol-free options are also available.
