Situated along the Via Francigena near Monteriggioni the small medieval village of Abbadia Isola boasts a superb Romanesque church and a group of old buildings that once housed a monastery and its outbuildings. The Futura Osteria occupies the cellars where the monks once stored their wines, which now provides the setting for simple, delicious and resolutely seasonal Tuscan-inspired cuisine offering good value for money.
