Deux étoiles : une cuisine d’exception
A traditional Japanese restaurant in Gion, suffused with the air of old Kyoto. Owner-chef Yoshio Maruyama decorates his sukiya-style establishment with ikebana flower arrangements to welcome guests in the spirit of the tea ceremony. The menu reads like an anthology of Kyoto customs, reflecting traditional events such as the Gion Festival and Gozan Okuribi. ‘Flavour over seasoning’ is the motto here, and great attention is paid to eliciting maximum flavour.
