MICHELIN Guide Slovenia: Filip Matjaž, chef at COB

The MICHELIN Guide takes you on a trip to Slovenia to discover its chefs and their tasteful cuisine. Following the launch of the MICHELIN Guide Slovenia in september 2022, we take a closer look at Cob in Portorož, run by chef Filip Matjaž.

COB is an acronym for “Cooking Outside the Box”, an excellent description of the cuisine served at this restaurant, namely traditional dishes reinterpreted with a creative and imaginative twist. Situated in the upper part of Portorož, COB boasts stunning views of Pirano bay, plus an interior which combines modern, minimalist design with a 100-year-old wood-burning stove.
