Start with their house martini, made with sake and Lillet, while deciding which dishes you want to share from the choice of around 12; about three per person should suffice. The chef wisely focuses on just a few prime seasonal ingredients in each dish, but he isn’t afraid of adding some innovative and original touches to give your tastebuds a workout. Mussels, for example, are hidden under shiso leaves, while succulent pork collar comes with onion jus and sea beans; if you see beef tartare on the menu, be sure to order it, as it arrives on a thick slice of sourdough along with nettles and anchovy and is delicious. The cozy restaurant uses mirrors on the wall to make it feel slightly roomier, but the intimate feel makes this an ideal venue for date night. The young service team has the knack of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
