Pizzana, the Brentwood Bib Gourmand-designated pizza restaurant, has opened a second location in West Hollywood. Master pizzaiolo Daniele Uditi is the person behind the Neo-Neapolitan pies with a Southern California approach. "Every pizza at this area darling begins with a nod to Neapolitan tradition: start with the perfect dough and bake it into a crust that remains crisp and light right through the middle," state inspectors of the original location. Two custom imported Stefano Ferraro ovens are the stars of the restaurant's design and out of them come pizzas such as cacio e pepe, carbonara or funghi. There are also new specials, such as the salmone with smoked salmon, ricotta crema, dill, parsley, bottarga, chive and lemon zest. The menu is complemented with a selection of antipasti and salads. Pastry chef Candace Nelson offers treats such as dark chocolate olive oil cake with vanilla ice cream to finish the meal on a sweet note. And for that late-night revelers, they offer slices of cheese or pepperoni to-go in a nod to New York City slice shops.
Pizzana is located at 460 N. Robertson Blvd. and is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
