The MICHELIN Guide Singapore celebrated the launch of its 3rd edition at Resorts World Sentosa, alongside well-suited diners and chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants from around the world.

It was a starry, starry night at the ballroom of Resorts World Sentosa where more than 380 diners and chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants from all over the world gathered in anticipation of the launch of the MICHELIN Guide Singapore 2018.

Excitement buzzed as Michael Ellis, the International Director of the MICHELIN Guides, took to the stage to announce the results.

Five new one-starred establishments bring the total number of the Singapore starred restaurants up to 39 this year.

The foyer was decked out in 1960s Singapore glam, complete with a photobooth presented by Loacker. At the bars, LiHO Tea and Nespresso shook up creative cocktail concoctions for guests to go with their canapes. Chefs and industry professionals celebrated in style with refreshments by Badoit and evian water as they were plied with course after course of unique creations by chefs of Michelin-starred restaurants ending with Nespresso Exclusive Selection Nepal Lamjung and Kilimanjaro Peaberry coffees.

Cooking specially for the evening were chefs Emmanuel Stroobant, Sun Kim, Lam Ming Kin, Arnaud Dunand-Sauthier, Alvin Leung and Rishi Naleendra, all of whom showcased contemporary interpretations of nostalgic local dishes like yusheng, rojak and chendol.
