November 2022: The Michelin Inspectors' Favourite New Restaurants

From Belfast to Bristol, discover the latest restaurants added to the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland

For November, we are pleased to share fifteen new additions to the Guide, ahead of the annual launch ceremony when the Michelin Stars, Bib Gourmands and Green Stars will be unveiled.

These newly added restaurants appear on both our website and the iOS and Android apps and are highlighted with a ‘New’ symbol for easy identification.

Andrew Sheridan, of Birmingham’s ‘About 8’, is the main man behind the stove at this buzzy, friendly spot, which is like a neighbourhood version of the aforementioned counter restaurant at the ICC. Luxury ingredients abound on the imaginative set menu, and the chefs are happy to chat to guests.

Set right on the river, this rustic restaurant is feel-good spot whose modern all-day menu offers something for everyone. Dishes might include kedgeree arancini with Coronation sauce or lemon posset with shortbread. There’s a fab terrace for al fresco meals and the polite team are keen to please.

This intimate restaurant features just 12 seats around a U-shaped kitchen counter, where the set tasting menu is delivered in an interactive, engaging style by the amiable chefs. Colourful, creative dishes display modern techniques, and the wine pairings are worth going for.

What was formerly Céleste restaurant is now The Lanesborough Grill; an ornately decorated room in the Lanesborough Hotel, flooded with natural light. Shay Cooper cooks modern British classics like beef Wellington, Dover sole, and roast apple trifle, while afternoon tea has a Bridgerton theme.

Culinary historians worth their fleur de sel will be familiar with Robert Reid and Jean-Christophe Slowik, the eponymous garçons who met when working for Marco Pierre White back in the day. Their joyful little bistro celebrates all that is great about French country cooking; order duck confit and then rum Baba and you’ll end up googling Crouch End house prices.

A plethora of pasta joints may have opened in recent years, but Noci is one of a new breed offering so much more. Expect plenty of starters, like charred octopus and vitello tonnato, before the homemade pasta dishes. It’s in a good spot close to Screen on the Green, where thousands still claim to have seen the Sex Pistols live in 1976.

Tucked away on the upper 'mews' level of Deansgate’s Great Northern Warehouse, this small, buzzy restaurant comes from the three chefs behind the city’s erstwhile 3 Hands Deli. A café by day, by night it serves an array of delicious sharing plates, made with produce from ethical local growers.
