Fook Lam Moon, which was awarded one star in the latest edition of the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macau, isn't nicknamed the "tycoon's canteen" for nothing. It draws the savvy business crowd with its reputation for impeccable cuisine delivered with the highest service standards. Think: doormen earnestly running up to your vehicle to draw open your car door after you've pulled up to the restaurant entrance.

Executive chef Chan Yau Leung has designed an Executive Lunch Set for four (HK$580 per person, minimum four people; or HK$6,880 for four people) or six (HK$10,800 for six people), which comprises the fragrant Fried Rice with Assorted Meat and Conpoy Wrapped in Lotus Leaf, as well as the famous baked crab shells which are freshly prepared by hand every day. According to the restaurant, the two dishes are prepared very differently from most of the other restaurants, and are elegantly prepared in individual portions to suit those entertaining business clients.

The restaurant can tailor its service to every diners’ needs, from creating rooms of varying sizes for small and large groups to offering a sommelier-led wine pairing service so you can rightly focus on the discussion at hand. Your business secrets are safe here: each of the private rooms are padded out with soundproof boards.

Castellana, which specialises in Piedmontese cuisine, may appear compact in size but its refined decor makes the restaurant a tasteful venue choice for a business lunch.

The restaurant offers one set lunch (HK$280-HK$380 per person) and two tasting menus (HK$880-HK$1,280 per person). Among the dishes offered is the veal with tuna sauce, in which the veal is rolled up and envelops the tuna sauce — a twist on the original; while Carbonara Au Koque makes the perfect introduction to the cuisine with its handmade taglioni with smoked prosciutto.

Matteo Morello, the managing director of the restaurant, suggest diners to give them as much information as possible, such as changing of the number of diners, request for a quiet corner, in order to ensure a successful business lunch and dinner.

One Harbour Road’s proximity to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre makes the restaurant a popular choice for business dining.

“For business luncheons, our senior management team greets the client on-site to ensure that the client's guests see that their host is recognized and valued by our associates," says Soren Lascelles, the executive chef of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, where the restaurant is located.

Their lunch set menus (HK$568, HK$688 or HK$778 per person) aim to give diners a feeling of satisfaction without feeling too full. “We highly recommend Steamed Giant Garoupa Fillet With Bamboo Piths and Fermented Rice Wine Sauce for its complexity, and it features a garoupa farmed from a sustainable source,” says Soren.

To ensure a hassle-free lunch, Soren advises diners to check the menu, wine list, and prices beforehand. “Hosts can make a reservation and confirm the menu in advance to avoid worrying about going over their budgets,” says Soren.
