MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The buckwheat comes from Aizu, Fukushima, the owner-chef’s hometown. We recommend the thin juwari soba. It’s a rustic inaka soba made from hikigurumi-flour. The chilled ‘Tomato Soba’ is a summer speciality made fragrant with basil. Also popular are the wheat-flavoured handmade udon and thin wheat flour noodles. The wide selection of shuko, including nama-yuba, beef tendon stew and tempura is also appealing.
