The restaurant is named after the founder, with the owner-chef serving as head chef before taking over. The restaurant’s reputation rests on its seasonal wild-caught seafood and Kyoto vegetables mainly from Kamigamo, Ohara and Kameoka. Most customers order the assorted sashimi; several kinds are arranged in happy abundance in a bowl with ice. Also popular are the dashimaki tamago and chargrilled items.
