The name Somm is an abbreviation of sommelier, giving a strong clue as to where Owner Narimantas Miežys’ passion lies. He is one of the top sommeliers in the Baltic region and, with over 500 bottles making up a truly global selection, this really is an oenophile’s paradise. Set opposite the MO modern art museum, it’s decorated with wine bottles and related memorabilia, and has a pleasingly unfussy, neighbourhood feel. This is a place where the sommeliers choose your wines for you – after discussing your preferences, of course – matching them with simple yet interesting dishes, some of which are prepared in the wood-burning oven
