Adjacent to Yonghe Temple, this historical courtyard house-turned-restaurant has a muted decor inspired by Zen aesthetics. Since opening its doors over 10 years ago, its ethos has revolved around simple cooking methods such as steaming, slow-cooking and sautéing to accentuate the ingredients' natural flavours and therapeutic properties. Their three lacto-ovo vegetarian menus comprise over 10 courses, and all can be made vegan upon request.
"We offer vegetarian cuisine using green and seasonal produce that is sourced from local, organic farms. We strive to reduce energy and resource consumption by recycling and banning disposable items. We also promote a sustainable lifestyle through community activities."
